Tuscaloosa Veteran Affairs Medical Center

In March 2016, Chroma Energy Group installed a 2.5 MW multiple mounting project at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Our team served as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the project. Our work included 2 MW of fixed-tilt, ground-mounted solar on a 12-acre field, a 20 kW ballast-mounted rooftop solar installation, and a 400 kW parking-canopy solar installation spread over seven carports in two parking lots. We also installed a 2 MW AC switchgear and transformer and integrated the project into the hospital’s electrical distribution network.
